Willis Lions had a great year in 2017.

We started out the year helping sponsor the Angels Rodeo at the Lone Star Fairgrounds in Conroe. The Angels Rodeo is for kids with disabilities. Our Club had bucking broncs made from barrels that the children were able to ride. We also had a tractor and trailer set up for hayrides. Our LEO club helped us by working with the participants

Next we went to Lions Camp for a workday on April 1. We had 10 Leos join us there as we worked there to help get the camp ready for the summer.

We replaced the sliding door on the hay barn and put lights on the Equestrian Center's UTV.

Next we awarded 8 scholarships at $ 1,000 each to Willis Seniors class of 2017.

Also during the year we provided root beer floats to Willis Nursing Home on a monthly basis and gave the residents Christmas Stockings in December.

We also displayed Flags on six holidays through our flag program.

We also provided eyeglasses for students of WISD and adults of Willis.

Also in 2017 Willis Lions signed on the hold the Charted for Boy Scout Troop 161.
